Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills, California in the year 1956. Her father taught school and her mom was a domestic worker. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. McCormick began dancing and singing in her early years and frequently performed plays with puppets for children in her area. She won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was contacted by Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to be a part of the business of show production. McCormick got her first job as a major actress in 1964. McCormick was in an advertisement for Mattels the newest doll baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she starred in another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play Wind It up and It Breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was selected from among 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to be the youngest of three towheaded girls in the upcoming TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. The show lasted for five seasons. McCormick revealed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year duration in the series. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book, Here's the story: Surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that in season five of the show she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. This would have occurred, she says. However, the timing for our marriage wasn't right.
